About

After over twenty years of working, studying, and attending seminars and trainings about health and wellbeing in the body, mind, and therapy-related fields, John earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling in 2020 from Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. Since then, he has been regularly participating in study groups and trainings on psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy, as he values the depth of introspection and compassion held in these models, and he greatly values continuing to learn and grow, and to do that with others.

John knows that we all face conscious and unconscious challenges in many areas of our lives that affect our bodies and minds. He believes in the power and wisdom of our bodies' and minds' ability to restore itself. He has cultivated his work to assist clients in becoming more aware and self-responsible for their lives in compassionate and honest ways. He helps clients look toward the deeper levels of the body and psyche to understand, feel, accept, and heal from the physical, mental, and emotional challenges we face.

Through his many years of training, ongoing development, and experience working with a diverse range of clients, he strives to assist people in achieving a state of embodied vitality.
